When your birthday returns many times, you will be alive for a long time and that is what most people want.

oh .well .wen it is said, it means:"may u get pleasent returns on this happy day"..
By "returns" one means---any happy news ,presents,feelings...all happy things the day should return/give u back

It means they are sure you're going to take the gift they got you back to the store for an exchange or refund. :)
