I mean come on, why would I care about what Leonardo DiCaprio or some other entertainer thinks about global warming? Who ever bestowed authority of these heavy matters onto people that simply act like someone ELSE for a living?

When it comes to politics, religion, or human welfare matters, wouldn't I be just as well off asking my plumber or hairdresser about as Tom Cruise?

Ok this is my situation:
I have been with my husband for 5-yrs know we are both 21 I talked to him on the endings of September I mention to him I was ready to be a mom if he was ready for us to have kids he agreed we have been trying nothing has happened yet know the last day we tried was Sunday 12/10 I was in the process of ovulation that day only god knows if I will end up pregnant or what! know on Tuesday 12/12 he talked to me and mention he is not prepared to be a father he really hurt me because is something I have been wanting he says I want one because my cousins are having kids and I'm the only one without one which is ridiculous I care less what they do or don't do I'm the one who will raise and support my kid not them, So know everytime we do it he pulls it out and I feel very hurt of the fact that he is not ready
What would you ladies do???
Man why do some feel they aren't ready what goes thru ur mind I ask him and tell him to be honest with me he just says he isn't ready

I can understand guys not taking you seriously if you are out at the bar and draping yourself over any body with testosterone, or if you are an excessive flirt. I am neither of these things. I am a responsible, attractive girl who is very down to earth with respectable values. I don't sleep around, in fact I hardly get any sort of action these days because any guy who I have gained interest in doesn't think of me as "dating material". They are attracted to me, would sleep with me, would be friends with me, but would not seriously date me. There are a couple of guys who I know would take me seriously, but I have no attraction to them. So my question is, how do I get a guy to take me seriously in a relationship and not just think of me as a booty call. This isn't geared towards a specific, just in general when I first meet any guy etc.

I recently quit today, I worked at a grocery store for 6 months and I didnt give them notice. I feel bad that I didnt give them notice but what should I say to my parents if they get mad. I hope they don't.

My family is Catholic and I don't go to church as often as I should or used to. I realize that I am sort of afraid to establish a relationship with God and I do fear Him, but I don't know why. My mom works every Sunday and no one else can drive me and my sister to church. I don't consider myself to be a devout Catholic because I was not raised in the church, but my mom and aunts kind of were. I feel left out when my friends all know a lot about the Bible and I don't. I feel like I'm sinning or something, although i do pray quite often (at least once a day)...what should I do?

he just laid that and told me that he has had bad heartburn and it's nothing to cry about...yes but has he ever been preg? i don't think so...i was just looking for some confort...a rub on the back..something...i didn't get anything like that...i know he loves me..but still...what is a good way to bring up how i feel about that? he does it a lot...he even tells our 2 year old to stop crying if she gets hurt...do you think i am right to feel this way??

I am probally definatly going to college after highschool. What I had decided on first was to go to acting school after college. Becoming an actress and a dancer is the main thing that I want to do. We were together for 3 years and 4 months ago he broke up with me to go back to his ex wife. These past 4 months have been terrible between us because I wanted him back so badly and didn't know what he wanted to do. His ex was right in town influencing his decision making and lying about me and that has created fights between he and I. I love him despite the bullcrap and don't want him to hate me because she came between us. We had a great 3 years together. They have a son together and for whatever reason, he never stopped loving her despite her divorcing him. She wanted him back and he went.

Man has been inventing religions and gods for thousands of years, many of which have lasted thousands of years but eventually died out : sun worship, moon worship, ocean worship, star worship, Egyptian religion, Inca religion, Aztec religion, Maya religion, Native American religion, Greek religion, Roman religion, Aboriginal religion, African tribal religions, mono theistic religions, Maori religion etc etc.

Why are the current crop of manmade gods any different.

Their main advantage seems to be that improved worldwide centuries over the centuries have enabled them to spread far and wide.

But will this be enough to save them from extinction like all the other religions that have been and gone ?

I am thinking about buying a new vehicle, but can't decide if I should get something that is 4WD/AWD or just a FWD vehicle with traction/stability control. 4WD/AWD vehicles usually have higher MPG and are usually a little more expensive... but I don't know alot about the newer traction/stability control systems and if they help out when there's a little snow on the ground.
