First of all INCREDIBLE to hear someone your age realize that is EXACTLY what you should be doing. Congradulations on having ten times the common sense of people thrice your age. You can use that as a tool your entire life. Here's the thing. You can't very well plan out your entire life. The important thing is to get a degree of some kind. It leaves you with many more options. Life happens one second at a time. Do what's right for you at the moment. Never second guess yourself and ALWAYS follow your instincts. The experiences you'll have outside of the acting world will make you a better actor. And if you're not already doing it start taking acting classes now. Keep taking them all through college. Stop taking them the day after they blow taps for you. I think you have the most valuable asset in the world, A good head on your shoulders. Don't worry so much. You'll do fine.

Go and read up on things. most colleges have a web page where you can look at the majors and their descriptions and read one till you find what you like. There are also tests you can take online, that help you find what you're good at. Try to search Career finder test, and see what you find. But, hey, you're only in 10th grade, the likely hood of you finding something you like now isn't that great. You'll change your mind a few dozen times. I didn't decide until 2 months before college started.

Since you are only in the 10th grade it is a great time to volunteer. Google volunteers and it will have a plethera of groups you can choose from. You can always ask your guidance counselor to help you find places too. This way you can try out things like tutoring (teacher), planting trees for towns, teaching acting or dance you can work with kids. Good Luck! You seem to have a plan when most kids your age are into video games.

Major in Arts Administration or Marketing, or some aspect of techinical theater like set design or costume design. Theaters always need people like that, and your extra skill set will make you a more marketable actor/dancer as well.

Go with what your good at, like teaching degrees or something. I would recommend a business type degree or computer classes. You can always get a job as a typist or secretary.

It's good that you are thinking ahead. It is possible to major in dance and/or theatre, of course, but you are correct in thinking it is difficult to make it in these fields.
It is possible to double-major, or minor in dance and/or theatre, or to major in something else and take courses in dance and theatre as electives. Most colleges and universities allow non-majors to participate in plays, etc.
Good luck!
