A child in a boat throws a 6.00 kg package out horizontally with a speed of 13.0 m/s, Fig. 7-28. Calculate the velocity of the boat immediately after, assuming it was initially at rest. The mass of the child is 28.0 kg and that of the boat is 50.0 kg.

I could find the velocity if I had the time interval, but I dont. But there is no time interval....how can I find it?

I have noticed a bad smell, like rotten eggs, in my house that comes and goes over the past 2 or 3 days. It was first contained to my living room area downstairs but now I can smell it upstairs as well. I checked and I don't have natural gas. Everything is my house is electric. Also, my water doesn't smell either. It just seems to be a transient smell. Could this be connected to my electric central heating and air system. Lately, it has been making a weird car putting or lurging type noise (hard to describe) and it also hasn't been blowing hot air more of a warm slightly cool air.
Any ideas?

I would like to become a vegetarian...and yes, I know to eat fruit and vegies...but what is a good way to adjust to healthy eating without eating tofu and yucky stuff. What do you eat when you go out to restaurants? What does a typical days meals consist of? How do I know I am getting all the necessary vitamins I need. I also have a 2 year old and want us both to eat healthy. Thanks.

A elderly gentleman visits his doctor on arrival the receptionist asks "why would you like to see the doctor"
The man replies "I have a problem with my penis"
Shocked the reception says "you can't say that you may offend other patients try saying its a problem with your ear than tell the doctor whats really wrong"
So the man walks out a returns moments later "i would like to see the doctor" he says
"why"asks the receptionist
"I have a problem with my ear"
"thats more like it" she says "whats the problem"
To which the man replies

I have a friend who was raped when she was in middle school by her father. She now lives about a day away from me to go to college and escape the place where her memories are.

I really do love her and she knows it. But she has trouble with any relationship due to that incident. Is there anyway I can help her? She says that she doesnt want to have a relationship, due to me being in the same area as her parents and memories. That is ok with me for now. But I love her and would like to grow a relationship with her where at least we can be close to eachother without her feeling scared of me. I dont care if she is scared of other men. But I want her to be able to trust in me and my love for her.

i'm sort of debating on wheter or not to get a pet ferret. I've heard that they smell really bad tho. is there anyway that u can make it so that they dont smell? would giving them a bath hurt? andd do they make good pets?

i mean i got "great" skillz on the court but when i'm playing on somebody else's court and haven't played with the players we're facing i got so much freaking nervous that i got choked up and my skillz were just like vanished and i'm playing like i don't even know the sport

My 13 y/o son invited his girlfriend over for a movie. I went upstairs for about 15 minutes, and when I came down, I saw them making out, and they were both pretty into it... He doesn't know I saw them either... Do you think this is normal for a kid his age, or should I do something? By the way, they have been boyfriend and girlfriend for about 8 months. Okay so i have been with my bf on and off for about i year and 4 months and we are engaged.Im not jealous of his family i just dont like his sister cuz she has caused him to smoke pot and be irresposble when he promised me he wouldnt anymore.and the relatioship sith his mom bugs me he is 19 and he has a joint account with his mommy and he has always been like a mommas boy.i just want to know if my feelings are wrong or if im some what right about my feelings.Like hes on his moms cell phone plan and she pays his bills for him when he gives her the money and stuff and it just bugs me.Everything he has his moms in on it with him and they are just sooo close and i wonder if it will always be like that will he ever be able to grow up.theres more but not enough room to type so please people i need your answers???

I asked a question about the virgins in Paradise, and some Muslims got upset about it. Some denied there was anything in the Quran about it, but here it is in black and white, in the description of the rewards received in Paradise:

055.056: In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched

If you don't like what's in the Quran, why are you a Muslim? What's to be ashamed of? At least in Muslim countries there are still some virgins. What's wrong with some rewards in Paradise?

I have a 10+ year old Llaso Apso and lately he's been coughing a lot. I'm not sure if it is phlegm or if it's something else. Is this a normal thing for old dogs? Other than this, he's been himself, not sick or anything. What could if be?
