in what terms is success measured : monetary terms or being famous?

Success is defined for everybody on their own terms. As it's said "success is not measured depending on where you are but on how many obstacles you had to overcome to get there".
For some people success might be fame, power, and money. For some just fame, power, OR money. For somebody it might be just as simple as being able to enjoy their life to the fullest, or to have the most freedom possible. Yet for somebody else it might be just not being afraid of speaking in public.
For me personally, it's being rich, free, and happiness of myself and my family. When I get there, I can start working on helping everybody else get to the same point. I don't care much for fame and even less power. I'd rather have people like me for who I am as soon as they meet me, than have my reputation preceed me and make others feel uncomfortable being close to such a big shot.

Sure, Both can be in amounts. What really is important that you get a complete set of the mind, body, and spirit things so you can understand how to talk to people with understanding instead of just bleating out the words you learn and spewing out the exact lines of the philosophers.

Success is When you are satisfied with your life mentally and and emotionally.It is your way of thinking that how are you satisfied that is in monetary terms or being famous..

Being successful at your goals in life is healthy for the mind and body . I would regard what ever makes you happy to be a success.

I think everyone as an individual has their own definition of what being successfull is. ie...I may think it is maintiaining a happy home, while someone else may think it has to do with money. I think it differs with each person dependent on our personalities. You will feel successful when you realize what is most important to you....marriage, money, children, being famous, etc...

Like stated above, it's what matters to you and what your priorities are in life. If you want money, then by all means - Go out and get yourself some. Whatever makes you happiest :)
