It doesn't seem to hard to do at all, it looks like it is more of the way it was cut then how he styled it. He probably just put a little gel/paste and just worked it in on the front part of his hair just a little bit. I am not a hair stylist nor any close to it but i do my hair sort of like that, but his looks more simple.
