I read a Readers Digest article years ago and it featured this Poem.

The Optimist fell 12 stories,
And at each window bar
He called to his friends who were frightened below,
"Well, I'm alright so far!"

Does anyone know where its from or who wrote the Readers Digest article on it? It was by a lady who first heard the poem while helping out at an old peoples home. Then she related how it helped her later on in life.

Well this might sound weird but I had a baby 8 mths ago and my vagina is still really sore when I have sex along the scar where I tore. I have always heard that woman will get a bit looser after they have a baby, but that's not the case here. My husband can't even fit his penis all the way in. I have always been really "tight" but this has gotten uncomfortably bad. We try every position, lubricants, plenty of foreplay, still too tight. To make matters worse, he has a big penis. What am I gonna do? How can my vagina have gotten smaller? I told my husband that maybe they sewed too much up! Should I just live with the pain and try and stretch it out? Did or does anyone else have this problem? I have been to an OB/GYN and my family doctor checked, but they said everything was fine (mind you that was at my 6 wk postpartum checkup). Would there be any point bringing this up? Thanks

Out of all the sins that we are all capable of committing, why do the religous folk get so hung up about homosexuality - when many gay people are probably in far healthier relationships than lots of the critics of homesexuality are?

I grew up going to church and believing the teachings, but when I went to a christian college and took a religion class, my eyes were opened to a concept I had not considered before. There is a concept that in the early stages of society, man developed religion as a way to keep order in society. Without an afterlife, there would be no reason to conform to society or it's morals and life would be chaotic. The differences between the religions is because the principals were developed by people in different regions, so they created their own rules and values. It makes sense if you think about it, which was very troubling for me. I had never before questioned religion.

I think its one of the greatest books ever written.
I read it and it changed my life.
If you haven't read it, I would recommend that you do. The author is Thomas a Kempis.

P.S: If you know any other books like "The imitation of Christ" please let me know. Thanks...a lot

How come the human body is so symmetrically arranged around a central axis (the spine), the left part mirroring the right part? - just like a Rorschach inkblot on a paper folded in two. Even fruits are symmetrical around a central focal point or axis.
