Is this the correct term for the plastic half spoon half fork utensils that you get in canteens?

They are spoon shaped but have mini prongs at the front.

Yes it's a spork. A cross between a spoon and a fork. You can even get metal ones that are great for eating cateloupe.

It is a spork. It adds to sp-oon+f-ork. It makes a spork.I guess it is quite convenient for people with only one available hand(whether it is busy or disabled.)
