Out of all the sins that we are all capable of committing, why do the religous folk get so hung up about homosexuality - when many gay people are probably in far healthier relationships than lots of the critics of homesexuality are?

Part of the reason for this is that homosexuality is the ONLY sin that people are trying to say is NOT a sin.
All the time on here I have found people who say that those who believe homosexuality is a sin are just "intolerant" or "bigoted."
Many times, people have asked where in the Bible, besides in the Old Testament, it says homosexuality is wrong. When people tell them the truth, others thumbs-down the answer!
As I said, it is the ONLY sin that people try to deny is a sin according to the Bible.
That's why many make such a big deal out of it. I'll admit I'm one of them, because I'm tired of being told that I'm intolerant because I believe it's a sin.
I don't hate anyone, least of all homosexuals. I have bisexual and homosexual friends. They know where I stand on their lifestyle, but they also know that I love them anyway.

In all actuality I do not think God is sitting in heaven keeping a running total of how many years someone has been living in sin, whether it be a homosexual marriage or an adulterous affair. Sin is sin no matter which way you look at it and separates us from God. I do not understand why the homosexual communtiy at large feels the need to defend their sin. If they are comfortable doing it then power to them and they can deal with God about it, not me. But I am sick of hearing about how we should wrap it up in a pretty little package called marriage to give a sin respectability. What one does in the comfort of their own home is their own business.Don't flaunt it in my face and I would have no reason to say I do not like it. But if you want to air your sexuality to the world at large then do not expect people to remain quiet about it when it is a blatant sin against God. I have no desire to hear about anyones sexual interludes be they homosexual or heterosexual. Don't place your sin on my plate for acceptance , and you won't have to deal with my opinion on it.

Sin is such an outdated concept. Instead of thinking of everything in terms of sin, try just thinking for yourself. You have a brain. I'm sure you can figure out the pros and cons of homosexuality, and its role and affect on society. Once you get past the dogma of sin, you realize that homosexuality really doesn't affect the rest of society much. You'd also realize that this life is too short to worry about the gender of people who like each other.

This is off the question, but I wonder why homosexuals are so sensitive, and call people homophobic?? (Rosie!)

Personally, I don't care who is what. But I am not a homosexual, and I don't like that lifestyle, but do whatever you want. Just don't go on nationwide tv touting what you are. No one cares. I think if homosexuals just lived their lives the way they want to, instead of telling the world they are homosexual, they would have fewer problems of acceptance.

I was homosexual before giving my heart to Jesus and He has changed me. BUT, to God, sin is sin. So homosexuality is sin, just as adultery and lying is.

But, homosexuality is a perversion of the family unit which was created by God. Satan knows this and is succeeding in making people believe that being gay is ok. It is not and it is an abomination to God.

Only the power of Jesus Christ can set you free from any perverse sexuality.

The Lord loves the homosexual so much and wants to give them true peace and joy.

yeah you are right brother, ... it has just become fashionable for these religious folks to go on with 'homosexual-bashing', in the public. they forget that it has been existing ever since the evolution of man! they need something or the other to grab and sustain attention! don't understand what the fuss is all about, though i am neither a homosexual nor any orthodox religious guy!

If you think they are in a much healthier relationship, then why do they get Aids. We only quote the bible, & the reason it has become a more talked about subject, Is because those gays & lesbians are now coming out of the closet, so to speak, & those scriptures that condems such acts it now looking them right in the face, whose end will be the lake of fire unless they turn away from such sin & repent.

,You are absolutely right. There is nothing wrong with gay sex because all love is good love.I think they just do not understand that being gay is not a choice but an urge.It is the same as heterosexual urges. The brain of a gay person Emmit's chemicals tha t excite the person when they see the same sex,They are not abnormal freaks, they just want a love life like everyone else without judgment and ridicule and persecution. They believe in live and let live like it should be.They just want love and acceptance Without useing the bible as proof against it.There was prejudise then as now and God is not prejudise. He made us all, gay and straight so stop the hate,it is not a sin,it is love

Perhaps it seems that way because someone posts a question about it 50 times a day; whereas murder, not so much. We just answer them the best we can from the Word of God as the questions come, that's all.

Have you ever walked a road or a pasture filled with dung holes? well society is much like that pasture. some dung holes are covered as God commanded while in a hurry , others were not. same sex unions are one of those dung holes, you may not want to stand too close to because one of those little creatures will reach up and grab you by the ankle to pull your life down into that pit from hell.
