Yes there is. Intels processors are close to 20 percent faster for the price, and in laptops, also 20 - 40 percent more energy efficient which translates to less bulky batteries, less overheating, and quieter all at the same time. The intel core 2 duos have a quality that only uses the processor and cache when needed, which is like only turning the lights on when your home. AMDs, although still powerful, can run very very hot when pumping a significant amount of power through them.

I've always liked AMD and still do, I hope they make processors in the future better than Intel, but currently Intel Dual-core processors beat AMD dual-core processors by reviews, I'm not sure about the price of them, both of them are good but Intel have better performance.

i don't understand the position each body has been the previous few months, yet even the mid-variety Intel middle 2 Duo E6400 and E6600 outperform the AMD Athlon FX-sixty 2, that is type of double the cost. Intel has obviously taken the lead in modern-day months, ever seeing that middle 2 Duo change into released. you may verify the benchmarks.

If your upgrading by replacing the processor, you have to go with whatever is currently in your MB because AMD and Intel have different chips and arent compatible with one another.
If youre buying a new one, I have always preferred AMD over Intel because AMD is designed to survive longer at higher temperatures and have lasted longer than Intel in my experience.

Intel core2 duo. Less energy, good for laptop's battery life. A ton of headroom for overclocking on your desktop, nice for gamers. Price is competitive. Need I say more?

Simple Question for a simple answer... the more expensive is the more hi-tech. I'll choose intel.
