im 20 years old and my boyfriend is 21 hes a soldier in the U.S army. we've met trough friends we started dating then we fall in love. but the main thing is im still living with my father, he doesnt even allowed me to even talk to guys, but my boyfriend want me to marry him and move in with him but im scared that if i get married and move out my father will forever hate me and never talk to me for the rest of his life. but i want to be with the love of my life i want to be my own women but my dad wont let me,
please help i wanna be independent but im scared of what my dad might think.

We are told to tolerate people no matter what their color, creed, religon, etc. Why is it 'OK' to still discriminate toward smokers?

I'm kinda of a hermit (I have only one close lady friend, and I live by myself in a studio apartment in Boston), but the thing is I have a majority of family members who criticize me for losing touch for long periods of time. (Most of my family is from the south in Alabama and Georgia. Very strong need for family values) I lived most of my youth and young adult years surrounded by family, and I have always wanted more time alone to center and balance my mind and spirit. Now that I finally have it, they want me to continue to keep in touch. I don't mind any of them calling or visiting me, but I told them (nicely) that I refuse to go out of my way to keep in touch with anyone. Too much work and worry. Anyone got any ideas on what else I can say to get my point across? (Keep in mind. Most of my family is very stubborn)

The reason why the U.S. Founding Fathers chose to write constitutional protections and rights into the Bill of Rights is to protect all people from an over-powering and over-reaching government. If it were not for the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments, a mere accusation against a person would become a conviction.

I am of the opinion that I would rather see a guilty man go free if the government has not proven its case than to see an innocent man unfairly accused, prosecuted, and sentenced by a government with too much power.

And, yes, I am been victimzed by criminals and none of them have ever been sent to jail for their crime against me.

I still feel very strongly that the government needs to be reined in, because once people are under the yoke of an all-powerful government, it is virtually impossible to throw it off without extreme bloodshed or civil war.

First of all I'm Wiccan who doesn't believe in heaven or hell so I'm not being blasphemous. Second, I heard this from a comedien so it was a joke but it's actually a very interesting question. I use large reduced screens, so's I can easily grab the control bars and drag them around, and sometimes even watch the progress of more than one window at once. However, I understand that some folks operate in full-screen (maximized) mode all the time, using the status bar thingies to get back and forth between apps.

I was bitten yesterday afternoon on my right foot by about 10-15 ants. Im not sure what kind, but that area is now red and somewhat swollen, as well as very tender and itchy. The question that I am having is that my foot is numb to touch and feeling. Its not asleep, I've been active all morning cleaning and such, but I am having a hard time because I really can't feel my foot-- Could this be related to the ant bites? If so, What can I do? I've never had a problem with ant bites in the past, but this is the first time in a looong time that I've been bitten. Any advice would help. Thank You!
