First of all stop being so dramatic. You heart is not breaking. You're merely feeling sadness & possibly some seperation anxiety. If you want to gain control so you don't go into a tail spin every time your guy leaves you need to put things into perspective. Your heart is not breaking...identify the feelings: saddness...? How about looking forward to seeing him again ? Loneliness..??? How about keeping your self busy while your'e apart, and when you do reunite he'll have more to embrace, because you've developed yourself while he was out doing what ever it is that he does. Saying hello & goodbye is part of every relationship no one stays glued at the hip 24/ 7. It might be helpful if you had some things planed to do after he departs. Book your schedule so the time you're apart you have to focus on other matters. Include something fun for yourself..Walk, work out at the club, take a dance lesson. When the time you reunite rolls around you'll wonder why the time passed so quickly...And you'll realize it did pass quickly because rather than mopping , around, ( feeling those intense pains of seperation( you, were now spending "your time" living and staying active so when he does return he comes back to a revitalized, energized you !

You are in the heavy lust stages of love, this is common in the early stages of all relationships..
To have a healthy, long lasting relationship ( the kind where marriages happen and lives are spent together forever ) you need space and time apart. A good relationship can not thrive if 2 people are together 24/7, 365 a year.
Go shopping by yourself or with friends, get a hobby, try participating in a sport.

Why does he leave? or why do you part ways? Are you in a military or long-term relationship? This is tough. I've been there and done that before.. What you need to realize is that it is not forever that you two will be apart. And one day you can spend forever together with no breaks in between. Keep in touch with him, do little things like send him cards to keep the sparks going....and stay as busy as possible, time will fly. Good luck!

Hello
I have felt that same way before. And all i can advise is it just takes time.
Try not to think about him leaving. What helped me is before he left we would always set up the next time i was going to get to see him,
That really help! SO i would feel some relief that i knew when i was going to see again.
Best of luck
