Why do some religious people try to force their beliefs on you? I have many friends that are VERY religious, and they always try to make me believe what they do. It was alright for a while but now it's getting really ******* annoying. I am an atheist, and they can't seem to except that. How can I nicely let them know that since I don't ******* care that they believe in God why should they care that I don't?

We have been together for 3 years almost to the day we got married. Just got hitched in April, it seems like every week something happens to set one of us off. We blow up at each other for an evening and then end up not talking to each other for days. (I'm a 9-5'er, he works 2nd shift so we dont see each other a lot anyways) The thing is that we were fine before we got married, we were loving and listened to each other. Now it is hard to even get through a weekend without something happening. Is it a bad sign that we may need counceling already??? We are newlyweds, isnt life supposed to be bliss, chasing each other around, giggling, romance? I feel like we are an old married couple that can barely stand each other.

Bush has admitted that there were no WMDs:
In a speech before the World Affairs Council of Charlotte, NC, on April 7, 2006, President Bush stated that he "fully understood that the intelligence was wrong, and [he was] just as disappointed as everybody else" when U.S. troops failed to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

So it is confirmed that there were no WMDs in Iraq that were the reason we went to war. Weather Bush knew that or not is up for dabate. But if this is the truth, then what do these satatistics say?

Media source, Respondents believing evidence of WMD had been found in Iraq since the war ended
Fox 33%
CBS 23%
NBC 20%
CNN 20%
ABC 19%
Print media 17%
PBS-NPR 11%

Do you think that this says anything about the credability of these new stations? Are the news stations many call the "liberal media" actually informing their audience better? I've always thought PBS was a very good news source, and they appear to be the best at informing their viewers

I adopted him a few years ago. He has been in therapy for a few months. Went with him the other day and seems he spends all his time in there complained about total BS (like too many chores..like trash and empty diswasher are taxing) and plays out this whole victem thing. He will do dishonest stuff, manipulate, and then when he is snagged, he REFUSES to hold it and be accountible. I have set up reward systems, mirrored making a mistake and owning it happily, talking to him, etc etc. I am at my wits end. I have asked him what the worst is that can happen and I get nothing. Are there any experienced parents or therapists out that that can shed some light on this for me? Know that this is a very good, stable, open and loving home.

I've seen that sentiment a lot today.

If you don't believe that people of the same gender can really love each other, why not?

If you do, why?

I'm genuinely curious. I'm 50/50 bi; I feel as strongly for my wife as I ever did for a man, and that is *strong*.

George Bush said in a speech he gave a few days ago, that essentially if we elect Democrats "America loses and the terrorists win." That is like saying that if you don't agree with the current administration, you are not patriotic. I'm confused...I thought I was supposed to be patriotic to the United States of America...to the democratic process...even to the flag (as a symbol of the country). But to say that I'm unpatriotic because I disagree with the current administration's policies is insulting.
