I love CUBS questions!! Of all time, I'd have to say Sandberg. Present day.....I'd say D. Lee but since he had to be out most of this season, I'll say Zambrano!
Go Cubs 2007!! As the kid in "Angels in the Outfield" said, "It could happen!"

Currently, there's no doubt it is Derek Lee, and all time, is there any doubt that it's Ernie Banks. I'm a Cardinals fan, by the by, so I actually despise the Cubs, but I feel comfortable speaking about them in an educated manner.

There are several that can be consider the best depending on your favorite. Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Ryan Sandberg, Ferguson Jenkins just to name a few. All the listed are in the hall of fame except for Ron Santo. I still don't understand why he has not been voted in yet.

Their best player of all-time is Cap Anson - 3,400 hits, a career OBP of almost .400, and he revolutionized the first base position.
On their current roster, it's Derrek Lee, but it's not like he's got much competition at this point.
