It's said that there are two things that should never be discussed in polite society: religion and politics.

However, I feel that we can have a mature discussion without slurring each other or "putting down" opposing political factions.

I am just curious about how everyone else feels about the upcoming presidential race in 2008. I don't care if you're a Dem or Rep. I'm not looking for a validation for my own beliefs. I honestly want to know what you think.

Who will be running in 2008 and why? What will be the hot-button issues of 2008? What qualities are you looking for in a president for 2008?

If I put them in a pastic container or a ziploc bag, they mold within 2 days. Some ingredients are chicken broth, wheat flour, cornmeal and yeast. I even leave them in the oven over night. Can I put them in a dehydrator?

The US is a weird country where we find all kinds of people, from really nice to weird and perverted criminals. We keep hearing on the news of weird stories like a kid raping his own mom or a guy shooting his family. What kind of a sick world are we living in? I'm sure this stuff happens outside of the US too, but I know one thing for sure, that in the US, this happens much more frequently, which draws the question: Why? what is it about this country that makes the people do things like that? is it the gvt's lack of consideration? is it the culture where families don't provide the necessary love that others cultures do? is it the selfish/lonely way that people lead their lives ? or is it the boredom and perfectness of society? what i mean by the last is that in a great country where most human needs are meet, the person gets bored for the lack of problems and tries to create some to give his life a meaning.
I'm not what is the answer and i hope you can guide me through this.

I've been looking into (finally) purchasing a Stubben Juventus D dressage saddle, which I believe has the typical long billets. My question for ya'll is, how do I know what size dressage girth to get? I've tried googleing, but have found no direct answers. If it helps, my horse currently rides in a size 50 girth on a regular all purpose saddle. If you need more information to work with, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

My best friend is such a sweet girl, but I am afraid she is about to make a huge mistake. She is American and is getting involved an illegal Brazilian man (25) who does not treat her very nicely. She is a virgin and he is not, she is waiting until marriage. They plan to marry within the year. I want her to know that I am happy for her happiness, I really am. It is just with skyrocketing divorce rates I really do not think they will make it.

Now that she is getting married she is trying to force it on me and my 4 yr relationship, I told her no way I am not marrying at 19 but she still persists.

As her friend do I try and talk some sense into her, or just shut up and support her? Could he be marrying her just for sex or citizenship?
