Good reasons. You are trying to help out your family. Say someone is sick, and your family is poor! You work full time to help support your family.
There are a lot of movie starts that actually dropped out of school, such as Tom Hanks. Child actors are a good example. They already have careers that are supporting their families. They have the option to go ahead and gain life experience and then go back to school later on or get a GED.
If you go for the help to support the family thing, that should give you at least one good page. Touch on if someone gets sick and expensive medical care is needed that should give you more than the one page.

There are no good reasons to drop out of High School. You will just hurt yourself. Try writing about alternative ways to graduate from high school such as the GED, GED2, Alternative Schools, Home Schooling or Correspondence High Schools. By the way if you are thinking medical reasons, that is only a reason to miss a short time and most districts have home and hospital schooling.

The only good reason I can think of to drop out of school would be to make a living for your family and in these modern days you can not earn a very good living without an education. Those who have done so are an exception to the rule and very rare.

Good reasons to drop out of school.
1. Walmart needs uneducated workers to exploit.
2. You can make good money being a garbage collector or a stripper well into your 30's when your back gives out.
3. Frees up competition in white collar jobs, which is better for those people paying back college loans to the government- Less chance they will default on paying back governent loans.
4. U.S. needs a cheap labor force, especially if they build the fence on the border.
5. Gives third world countries a chance to be globally competitive in technological industries against the U.S. Then third world countries can start outsourcing jobs to uneducated US citizens, which will lessen the U.S. unemployment numbers.
6. You won't have to help your children with their homework because you honestly won't know how, so it will save you the inconvenience of teaching someone else or passing on knowledge.
7. You will save your family about $500 in college graduation gifts.
8. You won't have to pay back any college loans, because you won't be going to college.
9. A membership at the Y will cost you less, because it is wage based and you will make under the poverty wage and so you'll get to go swimming for free in the heated pool.
10. Republicans will not worry about you being a voter, because statistically you won't vote.
11. It will help social security thrive because uneducated people have tons of kids who will grow up and put their hard earned tax dollars back into the social security system.
12. The wealthy need good housekeepers and valet parking attendants and lawn mowing services. They depend on the uneducated. You CAN help them!!!

The only reason would be that you are self-supporting already, or have a mighty good plan for becoming self-supporting.
William H. Gates III quit college when he decided that he could make a go of it making and selling software. I'd say that was a pretty good decision for him.

Having to work to support your family.
My mother is the youngest of 4. When she was 3 years old, her (single) mother died, and her 2 oldest brothers 14 and 12) had to drop out of school to work to help their grandmother (who was a cleaning lady) to support themselves and the other 2 youngest children. They started working in supermarkets and a bus terminal carrying bags and luggage. When my mother was 12, the 3 oldest brothers were working, and studying again.
