Help can everyone suggest a good ceasar salad sauce

It has been my experience that the Paul Newman dressings are very good. I have had the ceasar dressing and my wife, who is harder on ceasar dressing than myself, said it was very good. That is the direction I would go.

Cardinis is a really good off the shelf make but why done you make your own Antony Worrall Thompson's recipe is below and its yummy.

2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 anchovy fillets, mashed to a paste
1 teaspoon anchovy essence
3 cloves garlic, mashed to a paste
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Colman's English mustard powder
½ tablespoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
300 ml (½ pint) good olive oil

1. In a food processor blend together all the ingredients except the oil. I like my dressing quite peppery, so reduce the quantity of pepper if this is not to your liking.

2. With the machine running add the oil in a slow trickle as you would for mayonnaise. Serve at room temperature. Refrigerate until required.

N.B. To make a Caesar salad, tear into bite size pieces the washed and thoroughly dried leaves of a crispy Cos lettuce. Add enough dressing to coat the leaves, fold in 75g (3 oz) freshly grated Parmesan and 75g (3 oz) Parmesan croutons (see cheese section). Toss to combine. Don't faff around with marinated anchovies or shards of Parmesan, a Caesar salad made well does not need unnecessary adornment.

Don't buy one...try this:
Mix 2 tbs mayonaise, 2 tbs fromage frais or plain yogurt, finely grated parmesan (or cheddar), little white pepper & salt, teasp sugar & 2 teasp lemon juice. (add a little water if too thick).
