Hey guys...
I hate feeling left out going out with friends and NOT drinking because of my reactions to alcohol.
I get red and bloaty, mini-hives on my face (which disappears within couple hrs) and a small hay fever.
I've seen other 'alcohol allergy' questions/answers...
But i want to know the PREVENTIONS by eating/drinking something before hand.
(Rumors i've heard was by ingesting pepcid ac, pepto bismol, alka setzer.)

My husband and I went out of town this weekend. I had a great time but he says it was a wasted and boring trip just like he expected. We went to a concert. It was great. When we left I noticed he was being distant. We went back to our hotel room and he was just moping around not speaking. I asked him what is wrong and he made this ugly face and said, "I hate when you ask me that" So I left it alone. He was flipping through the channels I was chilled so I got this blanket from the cabinet and was sitting on the couch. A little bit later he said sarcasticly what is wrong? I just sat there. At 11:30 I went to bed. Sometime he woke me up by pulling the covers off me and trying to take off my pants. It scared me as I was deep in sleep. He proceeded and then he just stopped. Later he finished. The next day he was rude and it went downhill from there. He said it was a wasted trip and he is sick of being bored with me. what did I do? He is being so mean to me. What did I do? How am I boring?

I would deeply appreciate any knowledge that can be supplied to me. I quit my Master's degree program when a book of my poetry was accepted for publication through a university press. The book had been my early creative writing thesis. I would like to find a means of rectifying my errors and returning to my studies. Although American I don't think I can get student loans but if there are scholarships, grants, or rather cheap online classes for an internationally recognized degree this information would mean a lot to me. I often get the feeling that people - girls in particular (but probably guys, too) - get bummed out around the holidays when they are single. They want someone to share all of that mushy stuff with. Pumpkin picking on Halloween, Christmas cheer, and of course, Valentines Day. There's also the fact that the media is constantly flashing to ads of couples exchanging expensive gifts. Do you think the seasonal festivities can make it easier for a guy to pick up a girl? I mean...hell, I'm a single guy, and I sort of wish I had someone to have fun with this time of year. I want someone to see a scary movie with and to hang on to when the snow starts coming down! How about it? Girls...are you more open to dating a guy because of the season? It seems like if there was a prime time to fish for a date…it would be between the months of October and February. Am I right?

Please do not say that our current situation is not as bad as the British treatment of the colonists. The Declaration, The Constitution, and the Revolution were all comprised because a bunch of aristocrats did not want to pay their taxes. But it is not their motivations but the words they left for us and the actions they took in order to gain their independence and become the fathers of the greatest nation on earth.

I don't want to here about them being slave owners, or some of their lack of faith in democracy unless relevant to why we should or should not. No external issues. Just answer the question.

I see our current government (Democrat and Republican alike) in direct violation of the words of the document.

Do you agree/disagree? why? Will you still vote for one of these tyrannical parties, and if so Why?

My husband's job has him "on-call" to answer questions over the phone. His work hours are swing and lately, they have been calling often (about once a day) - during day hours and late night hours. All was fine until over the weekend, when he let his phone go to voice mail because we were in a family situation and he did not want to be disturbed. They mentioned that he needed to answer his phone. This morning his supervisor called at 10 am, while my husband was sleeping, and he let it go to voicemail. His supervisor then called our home phone to get through.

Hubby's position is: he is not being compensated to be "on-call" even to answer phone questions and while a few phone calls during the week is fine; it is starting to be a daily issue; and a bigger issue if he is busy and cannot get to the phone.

This is a good job with decent pay and good benefits; but the price of this phone is becoming more than what we bargained for!
