has any one been the victim of a violent crime?

some one commited a crime towards me and i did something in retaliation to this persons actions i wish now i had not done it has anyone ever retaliated when they have been a victim of crime and if so what did you do

My family had a murder. My first cousin was killed. We still don't know who committed the crime. It is awful to be a victim, but retaliation is never the right answer.
