Ok, I have been thinking about this one, and I need some educated input.

Here are some givens:
Average Income : 150 Florins
Average cost of large pig : 30 Florins
Average cost of tulip bulb : 2500 Florins

The price depended on color, type as well. The highest price was 6000 Florins for one tulip bulb.

The next year in 1637, the price of a tulip bulb plummeted, drastically.

Question: Why did the price of Tulipd skyrocket, and why did they plummet the next year?

I'm not trying to boast but I've been told I make really nice gift baskets. I have a bridal shower to go to but I'm short on cash. If I buy a gift basket and gift wrap from the dollar store, and buy some bath and body products from a local warehouse sale (which is good quality) will it be cheaper than buying a ready made basket?

It's all propaganda with them, evertime Bush, Rumsfeld, and other White House staff comes on it's always about "terrorism". They say that 'we need to protect our people'. But are they really "protecting" us by going and invading another country and killing their civilians? Also, from the standpoint of Iraqi's, aren't they being invaded? Buffett said that he felt that the wealthy had a greater responsibility, due to their power and success, to pay taxes and should pay higher taxes... but aren't...

why do these two men who are highly successful in capitolism, not like the Bush tax cuts and want higher taxes on the wealthy?

I am trying to think of a good fundraising idea and thought of this one..

The event would take place at a college and would have a small entrance fee. The winner would win a small prize.. perhaps a college sweatshirt and a medal.

Should we provide players with food and drinks? What kind would be the best?
Would this be going against any laws?
