There were many different revolutions taking place. The US was growing in several directions culturally, economically, and politically. Culturally, the emergence of a different style of language and literature contributed to the new nation. Economically, banks were failing as the "infant industries" were fighting against England's exports. Politically, the creation of a new government cause many internal struggles.
