I'm pretty sure that my parakeet has scaly face mites. He is going to the vet as soon as i can make an appointment, but until then, is there anything i can do? I've heard that lack of nutrition may be a cause? is this true? he won't eat veggies or fruit, nothing fresh. any tricks to make him eat? please help, i'm really worried.

This is my first time growing Tomatoes. I planted in May and the first Tomatoes came out gorgeous big and juicy. As the season progressed I noticed they kept growing but before turning RED they began cracking open, like over strech. Is that a sign of too much water?

Im planning on buying a macbook but is 200 dollars worth the .17GHZ. Whats the deal with the super drive. Does the 1100 dollar model not come with a dvd burner. I find it hard to beleive a laptop not coming with a dvd burner.

I have slept with my significant other for the last 5 years and suddenly, I am waking up at 4 or 5 AM and cannot get back to sleep. I stay up until midnite and still wake up in the wee hours of the morning. I get very tired at about 3 in the afternoon and if I happen to be off that day, I can sleep from 3 until the evening news comes on TV. My significant other is out of town at nite for his job and maybe I miss him or something. What is wrong with me?

My mother is a teacher, and she told me that she has a student that turned 15 and is in the seventh grade. So far, it seems like the school hasn't done anything. In this situation, shouldn't they move the child up to a higher grade, or at the very least, place them in the appropriate courses in order to save the child further embaressment, trauma, AND to prevent them from getting further behind? As a parent, if your child were at this point, what could you possibly do to help them get ahead and in the grade they belong? 15 is around the age of a high school freshman. She always talks about her students and nothing really shocks me anymore, but this sure did....it's honestly very sad.

i have depression, from my dads side of the family genetics, and my mom doesnt understand it. shes supportive, but i always feel like im hurting her. I just never know how to explain it to her, and I know its hard for her to watch me suffer.

sometimes i even get angry that she cant understand, and then i get angry at myself for getting upset with her. its like poison. i hate the way i react and respond, and i hate the hold depression has on me.

Does anyone have stories or experience with people you love dealing with depression? what did they do to ease your worry, or what could they have done?

What can I do for my loved ones while I'm trying to get better (going through countless medications and costing a fortune for dr.s bills, ive been in treatment for 3 years, and it doesnt seem to be going anywhere)

I am a die hard Saints fan.. there when we beat St. Louis to win our first playoff game and there when we were the Aint's. The Saints FINALLY look impressive against the hated FALCONS none the less. I consider it a slap in the face to all Saints fans for someone to say that the Falcons "laid down" for the Saints.

You claim that god has a plan, and god works in mysterious ways, and everything that happens is according to god's plan... so why then do you all go around trying to stop things from happening (abortion, homosexual marriage, science education, freedom of religion)? My fiance dated this girl a little less than a year ago..and it was just for two weeks, well, she got pregnant and had a baby and is sueing my fiance for praternity of the baby and child support if the baby is proven to be his. He is willing to do this, but he has heard through the grapevine that she is on drugs and has been on drugs...if he goes for the praternity test, does she have to be there? And if so can he ask that she be drug-tested right then? If she fails the drug test and the baby is his, will he be able to get full-custody of that child? He has a job, we have a 3-bedroom home that just him and I share, and he would be proven to be fit as a father.
