I am a die hard Saints fan.. there when we beat St. Louis to win our first playoff game and there when we were the Aint's. The Saints FINALLY look impressive against the hated FALCONS none the less. I consider it a slap in the face to all Saints fans for someone to say that the Falcons "laid down" for the Saints.

I have heard a couple of my friends say it, I didnt think much of it, but I saw a few people on here saying the same thing. I didnt know if it was an idea going around or what.. but it just made me sick to hear or see it.

I didn't hear that, but I am well upset to hear it. Don't we deserve a little credit here. We can have a winning team. They played hard and won. They were pumped up to win for our state. Geaux Saints!
We are proud of you.

Even if any of the Falcons players, before the game, would have THOUGHT about taking it easy on the Saints, those thoughts would have left them the moment they took the field.
These guys are professionals, and they want to win...every time they go out there.
When I heard the final score of 23-3, I knew there would be people out there who would theorize that the Falcons laid down for the Saints, in order to create some positive publicity for the NFL... the NFL doesn't need any more publicity, it's by far the most popular sport in America, and has been for many years.
The Saints deserve credit for playing at such a high level of intensity for the entire game. I say, give them their due.... and I'm glad my Steelers didn't have to mess with them this week!!

Im just a little tired of hearing that the extra motivation of the fans helped them win....they had extra motivation all last year to win for the fans of the saints but didn't..the reason they won is that they shut down the Dirty Bird rushing attack..they forced Vick to throw the ball...and he was revealed as the horrible pocket passer he is...he is not mentally tough either..he admitted to giving up last year after they were knocked out of the playoffs..and is constantly worried about proving critics wrong about his pocket passing..and all he does is prove them right..as for who said it was fixed..you were prolly just upset over a few ignorant people who don't even follow football..prolly some wrestling fans that assume all sports are fixed like their sad excuse for a sport

The Falcons didn't lay down, but they just couldn't overcome the emotion of the first game being played there in over a year. The Saints just wanted it more.

Laid down my ***!!! Did you see Vick on the sidelines? He was crushed. No REAL fan would ever consider the fact that a pro team would "lay down" and let another team win. They're pros, they're competitive . No way was the game fixed, and no way was any of it fake you can't fake a punt block like that in the fourth play of the game, you can't fake the feild goal block. Give it up already they deserved to win and played their hearts out!!!!
I Say that and I HATE the saints!!

Stevie, please reveal your sources. Who is saying the game was fixed and is it a credible source? This is BS.
I'm not tired of hearing it cause I haven't heard it.
