yes and i was quite happy with it ,however it dose become somewhat rigid ice fihing . i use the palomar knot ,verry simple and very strong

fold your line and pass it through the eye of the hook ,snell ect. then tie it like starting a shoe lace ,bit then pass the hook or lure through the loop and pull tight

Fireline is the only non mono filament line that I use.
I've tried other "super" lines but, they all had castability or, backlash issues also, it is very strong. I have pulled in large tree limbs and, been able to save My lure. I usually use a Palomar knot and, have never had one come loose.

it is an excellent line. Knots i use are double uni for attaching mono leaders , and palomar knot for attaching hardware like swivels and lures.I've used fireline for many years and still do but find that stren superbraid is a bit better

If you are going to use braid, then use PowerPro. It is equal to SpiderWire and it about half the price. The Berkley line will start to fray and while this doesn't noticeably weaken it does provide drag on your rod guides during your cast thus shortening your cast. Take my advice......get the PowerPro.

p.s. The double uni knot can be used with this line

I use it and like it .The problem with it is it becomes frayed after use,The best knot is a palomar knot without doubt..

fireline is fine for trolling but it doesn't cast real well...it is abrasion resistant but doesn't stretch at all and is almost impossible to cut...the palomar knot is about the only knot that will hold

I use Palomar knots on lures and swivel too. For leader I use Bimini's knots.

i have once and it alot better than spiderwire stealth .... the spider wire tangle and knots up easy and fire line is so much easyier to work with and durable ... fire line all tha way... spider wire makes horible knot i have had alot of not break on big fish so stay with the fire line
