The 17-year old is a girl too, and sex has nothing to do with it. the house is1/4 mile from mum's house in the middle of the countryside,and drugs have nothing to do with it either. It's just wanting to be independent, in a small way. AllI want to know is the legal position , but I don't think the people who answer know any more than I do. It's hard to get trhrough to citizen's advice on the phone, but obviously I'll have to persevere. There should be a category for legal questions.

I have been dating this guy for a while, and he's so incredibly sweet. I am so lucky to have found him. But he doesn't want to have sex because he's too worried about getting me pregnant. I'm on birth control and I have condoms. How can I convice him? I don't want too seem to forward or too much like a tramp, and I know it sounds like I am being too pushy. I'm in college and that's the culture here. I like to go out but I also don't want to put on weight. I feel like if I don't go out with my friends I'll miss something. well, me and my boyfriend, we didtn c each other for like 2months because is summer holiday so both of us went bk to our home country, but during 2 month, we still kept contact each other by emails and phone (but always send sms to each other everyday to catch up what we r doing). while he was in his home country, i always trust him. but i feel hurted coz we were so far away, but he told me that jus trust him he wont do anything wrong there. then now we come bk to school, he picked me up in airport but i feel that he acted weird and he didtn allow me to look at his cell phone, so i was wonder why, then we came bk home i found one girl picture and this folder was hided it wasnt on my picture document. another run in with the family from before, i saw the little girl a few moments ago while i was taking out the trash. she was coming in with the "mother" & a huge bag of whitecastle burgers, we stopped in the hall and she was telling me about starting back to school and how the kids in her class are teasing her and calling her fat (she is 7, very short and looks to weight about 120lbs) the mother chimed in with "tell her, those kids are just malnutritioned and don't get enough food at home" the girl looked really hurt in the face about it & i think that's bullshit because she lets her eat all day and night, everytime i see her she's got a bag of fast food! Last halloween she came by for me to help her with her costume (princess dress) and when she put it on it busted right off her, & she was in tears! I think she knows she's heavy but the mother keeps making exscuses for it and contantly feeding her, how can I tell her she need's to do something different for the childs sake?

On their way to a justice of the peace to get married, a couple has a
fatal car accident. The couple is sitting outside heavens gate waiting
on St. Peter to do the paperwork so they can enter. While waiting,
they wonder if they could possibly get married in Heaven. St. Peter
finally shows up and they ask him. St. Peter says, "I don't know, this
is the first time anyone has ever asked. Let me go find out," and he
leaves.

The couple sit for a couple of months and begin to wonder if they
really should get married in Heaven, what with the eternal aspect of
it all. "What if it doesn't work out?" they wonder, "Are we stuck
together forever?" St. Peter returns after yet another month, looking
somewhat bedraggled. "Yes," he informs the couple, "you can get
married in Heaven." "Great," says the couple, "but what if things
don't work out? Could we also get a divorce in Heaven?"

St. Peter, red-faced, slams his clipboard onto the ground. "What's
wrong?" exclaims the frightened couple. "Geez!" St. Peter exclaims,
"It took me three months to find a priest up here! Do you have any
idea how long it's going to take for me to find a lawyer?"

Anyone who has answered one of my questions before, knows that I have asked quite a few about my stepkids. I have done this because only a few of my friends and family have stepkids, and none are actually raising them, so I have been looking for life experience and advice from other stepparents. However, I have gotten alot of nasty comments, basically making me out to be a wicked stepmom, an intruder into these kids lives, and an uncaring person, none of which is true. I have only given about 25% of the entire story and have been judged very harshly on that small bit. One thing that I have heard from alot of people on here, something that none of my family or friends agree's with, is that step parents should never disapline. Where does that view come from? And if a stepparent has taken on a full time parenting role, grocery shoppings, school clothes, parent teacher meetings, etc, why should they be treated as a maid, and not truely as a parent? They are doing the duties of a parent.
