Even though, by all rational accounts, Bush ignored every bit of sound advice and engaged in this false war wrecklessy and gauranteed it's imminant failure!

olfooltlose- I know that small factions of radicals want to kill me. I
can deal with it alone. Thanks to Bush, there are even more radicals. That is all Bush has accomplished.

Excellent question! I think you hit the nail on the head. One of the reasons this pathetic, fruitless, unnecessary war continues is to save the Bush family's name/legacy/and patent on rightness. Still you and I both know that George W. Bush will NEVER EVER admit to being wrong, sneaky, unethical and greedy. Never. So as long as he is in office the young men and women of our country will continue to die over this BS and so will the unfortunate but loyal countries that decided to back W. Not to mention the constant and HUGE amount of Iraqi bloodshed and death that is probably 10 times more than all of the military combined.

George Bush didn't say anything that Clinton hadn't said before him:

"His (Saddam Hussein) regime threatens the safety of his people, the stability of his region, and the security of all the rest of us.

What if he fails to comply, and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made?

Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction.

And some day, some way, I guarantee you, he'll use the arsenal."

NO the war is not worth continuing for the sake of saving Bush's legacy.

Consider the possibilities of civil war though. It MAY be worth staying to prevent that.

I think you need to go back and see 99 out of 100 senators voted to go to war all had the same info the President did.
No lies were told.
Bush's Legacy will be better than BJ Clinton's all his legacy is, is getting a BJ in the oval office.

I never supported this war. Now it appears we are stuck there and possibly for years. We got there under false pretenses and were lied to. Now I guess its a manner of damage control.

We need to find the least costly , least destructive way of extracting ourselves from this " Mission Accomplished" quagmire.
There is no way Bush's legacy can be saved. Hopefully he CAN be held accountable, but lets go after Cheney and the other Neoconn war criminals who acted behind the scenes to make this happen.

You should watch the news.
All the leading Democrats said that Saddam had WMDs and Bush needed to do something about it.
Check it out. Rockefeller and Pelosi were both war mongers.
You should know that. Learn!

Are you American? Do you remember you are marked for death by people we are at war with?
The whole Congress and the UN are supporters. Multi-national forces are joined this war. Just people like you have missed it.
What part of the news are you not lisrening to?

It isn't just his legacy. I agree that he really screwed up but the future of our entire country is on the line now. Whether you know it or not your legacy is being decided right now.

George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are flying on Air Force One. The President looks at the Vice President, chuckles, and says, "You know, I could throw a $1000 bill out the window right now and make somebody very happy."

The Vice President shrugs and says, "Well, I could throw 10 $100 bills out the window and make 10 people very happy."

Not to be outdone, the Secretary of Defense says, "Of course, then, I could throw 100 $10 bills out the window and make a hundred people happy."

The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot, "Such arrogant asses back there. Hell, I could throw the three of them out the window and make 56 million people really happy."

No it's not.
Bush (and his progeny) need to be banished forever from holding public office in the US.
