I do not purge, or do anything to rid my body of the food. I just overeat for emotional reasons, which sedates me.

As an emotional eater, I've used food to self-medicate over the years. I'm working very hard to change these patterns, and since I don't binge as often anymore, I'm now more aware of how my body feels. Overeating really does numb you in many ways.

Anyway, here is my question: after a huge binge, I notice that my body is physically sore the next day. Does anyone know why this happens? It's not painfully sore, but sore similar to when you're coming down with a slight cold. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the body trying to rid itself of unhealthy foods...similar to self-cleansing. It only happens after an EXTREME binge session, or long day of compulsive overeating. Perhaps the lymphatic system is involved???? If so, please explain.

I've improved greatly, as I would binge daily. Now it's only when triggered and not as often. Thanks

Please tell me what you think of the begining. Is it too formal and chessy. I am writing about my experience as a student ambassador traveling for the first time. I thought about introducing a quote instead, but idk.

Okay I am 13 just like my twin brother. We live w. our other brothers- one is 16 and one is 22. Our parents are off doing who-knows-what (yes this is legal- my brother is our legal guardian). Okay but then out of the blue my parents come back and say hey guess what? You guys cant live with (the 22 year old brother) anymore. We're shipping you off to foster homes until he's older! (yes they cannot get any more clueless. Gawd I hate them.) But now I'm in a foster home and I've kind of changed a bit. Like, I used to be a tomboy and stuff, but now that I'm in a different town and a different school, I'm more of a girly popular person. My brother (the 16 year old) is coming to live with this foster family also tomorrow. I really hope he doesn't hate me because I've changed- advice? Words of comfort? Help please!

First of all, I am not asking this from the point of view of a creationist, so please answer seriously and without just taking jabs at people of faith. The question is, there are vast gaps in the fossil record. If evolution were actually taking place, wouldn't the fossil record show an EXTREMELY smooth transition of the evolution of life forms? I mean really, really, extremely smooth. Changes according to evolution are so minor over many, many, many generations it seems there would be a much better record, and there would certainly be no talk of a "missing link" between man and his predecessors.

By the way, I was watching the Discovery Channel the other day about a new find of a pre-homosapien cranium, which was interesting; but what I found really interesting was an offhand comment one of the scientists made which was "You can put all of the fossils we have found to date of man and his ancestors in the back of a regular pickup truck. That ain't very many fossils.
