lane bryant online or catalog has boots that adjust to your claf size and go up as high as twentysomething inches. Micht also look at wal mart I have seen just the other day microfiber boots that stretch and might fit good luck

I have that same problem. Last year I got 2 pairs of knee high boots at Target, which you might not like the idea of, but I will say, they looked very nice, and fit my calves--I had looked every year with no luck until I found them there. The 1 pair was chocolate suede looking, the other was black leather looking. Both were about $35 each (cheap, I thought) & both had a nice slim heel. I thought they were really nice, and at that price, I didn't care if they gor ruined-I can get a new pair this year if I want...

i have many friends that have large or thin calfs.

they are in the UK and do mail order.
they do semi custom. you chose style, color, feet size and calf size... worth the money if you do like and wear boots
and they look cute
