How does a 14 year old tell a 32 year old she thinks they are drinking too much?
I have this friend, that is WAY older, more like a mom to me. She has been drinking alot of alcohol lately. I dont want her to become and alcoholic. I tried writing her a letter, but she took it the wrong way... how could i tell her nicely?

They (I don't know who 'they' are...) say that when men have expensive cars (big trucks, whatever...) they are compensating for lack of endowment...

What about a woman driving a fancy car? I saw an old chick (fifty or so) today driving a Cadillac XTR (kind of like a luxury Corvette?) with vanity plates...and when I saw vanity plates, this chick is all about her! So what is SHE compensating for? Same thing?

My sister called at 3:15AM b/c my nephew (age 8) was crying from missing my mom (she lives with us).So the heck what! I got very upset b/c I can't think of anybody else she would have disrespected like that."Do you know what time it is",I said and continued to tell her off.She did apologize but asked me was our mother awake.OF COURSE I HUNG UP ON HER!The next day she called and asked me to extend her apologies to my husband (who agreed that it was disrespectful)I told her I would and I did. Later on she called back,got my husband on the phone and apologized.Damn!Shouldn't she have left it alone?Here's the thing-He got on the phone and all he said was,"huh,oh yeah,oh that's ok, don't worry about it" I felt like I was just standing out in left field all by myself. As if he was saying,"don't worry,she's mad but I'm not" I got so mad! In return,I got her back on the phone and asked her why she had to call back. Overall, how do you feel about the security measures that have been put in place to thwart or prevent any further terrorist attack?

And, what about air travel?... level of satisfaction on a scale of 1-10 (1 = totally unsatisfied, 10 = fully satisfied)

There have been many keys, plans and records that have not been accounted for by the mass transit authorities in NYC. In other words, they're missing!

Your thoughts about your community and travel/work security measures in place...Need more police, check-points, etc.

I like a boy I work with. I think he likes me too, but he is really friendly and is nice to everyone. Coming back to work after holidays, he gave me a big hug, and asked how my summer was. I only worked with him a few weeks before my vacation. Before i left he gave me a kiss on the cheek. But I am not sure if he is like this with everyone or just me. I want to get to know him, to see if i really do like him, but i'm really shy and self concious. What signs should I look for if he really likes me, or if he isn't interested and i'm annoying him? I recently got a new puppy, and the breeder fed him Science Diet, which I definately do not want to feed him (due to their subpar ingredients). After much research, I want to give him Castor & Pollux puppy food or the basic Dick Van Patten's Nature Balance dog formula. Does anyone have a preference/suggestion and why? Thanks!

I'm posting this not to raise people's blood about the issue, but to point out a flaw. Belief is not a person's choice. People say that belief has to come from the heart. They also say that there are a lot of people that aren't true believers in this world. That these people go through the motions of being a Christian, but don't fully believe it in their hearts.

Now don't take this personally, but lets compare belief to Santa Clause. We've all grown out of believing that he exists (most of us), but imagine after all that you've learned, what it would take to believe he existed. I say that it is (near) impossible for a person to believe that Santa roams the earth giving presents.

So I say this to Christians to help them understand an Atheistic perspective. Can you force yourself to believe in Santa? With what you know now, is there any way that you could convince yourself he exists? That is the dilemna of an Atheist. We just can't make ourselves believe. Belief is not a choice.

When I save the scan to a file and then try to print, the print comes out so enlarged on the printed page that I can see only about 30 % of the whole scanned image. It never did this before and images used to come out beautiful. So I must have touched something I shouldn't have. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem. Any suggestions are welcome.
