They (I don't know who 'they' are...) say that when men have expensive cars (big trucks, whatever...) they are compensating for lack of endowment...
What about a woman driving a fancy car? I saw an old chick (fifty or so) today driving a Cadillac XTR (kind of like a luxury Corvette?) with vanity plates...and when I saw vanity plates, this chick is all about her! So what is SHE compensating for? Same thing?

i think you work hard...you should be able to do what ever and drive what ever you like...it's probably to make people like you,who care about other peoles business, jealous...i used to drive by the very rich neighborhoods to give me a push in life..not that meterial things make me happy...but it makes me feel good knowing my hard work is letting me live a bit easier.......i work hard and like nice things....for the 50 year old..in the Caddy....what should she be driving...A volvo...a soccer mom van....to each his own...

If she is "old" driving a nice fancy car then my guess would be that they are trying to attract a guy... Get any guys attention ... whether He is well endowed or not!
It'll make the old gal feel young again to have some guy checkin' her and her nice car out! The car is kind of like Bait to compensate for her possible insecurity that she is feeling (looking old).

People who say that who "compensating" thing are actually just jealous that they can't afford a nice car. Fact is, guys drive nice cars because they CAN. Nice cars are babe magnets.
If I could afford it, I'd be driving a Benz SL 600. It wouldn't be "compensating." I'm a poor bas tard, but I get plenty of sex, because I have a hot body and a cute face. I would just drive the Benz because I COULD, and because it would be damn fun. Someday...

Some of us are indeed insecure that way!
Others realize that we are being judged by what we drive as much as by what we wear. I'd like to say I don't care about how people judge me, but I'm realistic, not pedantic.
BTW, I drive a 1996 Saturn. Hopefully people judge me as thrifty and concerned about reducing carbon emissions :-)

when it comes to both i think for the most part many of them are tryingt to use things like nice cars to make thier life appear to be better. allthough there is nothing wrong with having a nice car at any age but it shouldnt define who you are.

It attracts everyone, but i agree, it is funny. They think its cool to put their loud annoying music up and to drive crazy-how do you call them? Oh wait teenagers, or people who havent grown up.
