Wow...you woke them up with that one!!! Good job. Yes I read the book. I have been studying Gnosticism for a little while now. If you go on-line and type "The Nag Hammadi Library" into a search engine then you can read the text that have only been translated once. It's too bad that some of the people who answered your question obviously never read the book but criticized it.

i read it and it is fiction but its enjoyable that i think it opens minds of people reading it. its somewhat false but the premise and concepts of mary magdalene and the stories and facts of jesus are so crazy that it may as well be true. open your mind. question authority. instead of prayer which does not answer questions and faith which also does nothing to answer questions. the only effective tool to topple our fears is knowledge. are you afraid of riding bike? no, cause it is a knowledge you have... YOU KNOW you can ride a bike! in fact the more you know about any given thing the less you are afraid of that thing. so question, study research. look up these codes for yourself. look up aspects of bilble and make up your own mind. free yourself from fear. learn.
if fiction helps you get there, whats wrong with it?
hope this helps

I have read that work of fiction, yes I have and several other related works, and have conducted research concerning it. It was a pretty good movie and book, BUT there is a better one called "The Stand" by Stephen King, so much better.

I read it, and listened to the unabriged audio version. Both were very interesting. The movie I could have cared less for, unless you read the book, it would be very hard to follow.

I have, good story, and some good arguments, but still fiction. The general idea is a valid theory, and is plausible. But true or not is a huge debate.

It's a fiction work. I feel sorry for Dan Brown who must get a lot of crap mail from angry Christains who take it way to seriously like Harry Potter.

Excellent book. Much better than the movie. Although it is fiction, it will make you see what puppets, Christians have become through the years.
