put up a net (adjusted to their height). Get a four square ball (red soft rubber the size of a soccer ball) and have them take turns tossing it over the net. Keep score using stars. The one with the most stars gets to be first the next time.

You'll be playing volleyball at a volleyball open gym, so wear whatever you'd wear when you're exerting yourself and working up a sweat. Jeans and a t-shirt would be a bad choice. Shorts, t-shirt, good indoor court shoes (non-marking soles) and socks are more appropriate. You could also ask one of the current volleyball team members what s/he wears to open gym. Good luck.

How about a tennis court and a nerf ball or playground ball. Then just practice hitting over the net. preschoolers are short..so a regular net wouldn't work..but a tennis net would! Good luck.

I don't know how you'd do that, but I'd sure like to be around to see preschoolers play volleyball ... sounds like a riot.

Yes, a net, a ball and a few practice tries will do it. You need to be more innovative.
