I know my children are also doing well, I have a daughter on the Honor roll, I have a son who has graduated from high school with high marks but he still can not effectively read.
I would place him with roughly 8th grade reading skills.

I was capable of reading and writing in half the time.
How can a system fail so miserably?

Last night, I asked people to pray, and ask themselves if they are their brothers keeper. Some apparently took offense to this, so I ask again, what do I gain by driving you from your faith? I would think that trying to send you deeper into it, and give you the tools to see that Christ's message was one of Brotherhood, peace and tolerance would be the right thing to do. Please correct me if I am wrong, I am sure it would be easier for me to post the same ignorant babble that is posted by most ie (Was Jesus a Homo?)

i am 19 years old... decent shape...5'9 tall, and thought bout joining either the marines or the Army.. i know the benefits are great and all.... but i have alot on my mind at the moment and things to hold me back from going to the military..... my question is... should i join the military and which branch would be better for me.....i know people that are going to answer don't know me....but i woud like to know the differents in both branches... and heres the story.... i been with my girlfriend for 3.5 years now.... living together for 2 years alone.. i been working part-time and fulltime jobs and i absolutly hate it...and i love fighting and exercising...and only thing bout the military that i truly hate...getting up in the morning...i am a Nocturnal person but i can stay awake for days at times... and i seem to have like some odd doubts bout even gonig to the military.
And more details... im a mild case of bi-polar, and adhd and have selective hearing...

Since I was 5 years old, I always slept a lot (still asleep after nap time in kindergarten). As the years progressed, I continued to have to take afternoon naps for about 2 hours a day. Now I am 19 and I find myself sleeping sometimes 14 to 16 hours at a time? Is there some type of disorder to go along with this?

My bf and his friends wants me to quit my job. They think tt i don haf enough time to spend time wit my bf. And quitting this job wud make things better. I am really confused and lost. This is my first job. I don feel like quitting yet. My bf said tt he don wan me to work until so tired. He also said tt he can work and give me money to use. What unites all free and independent people in Britain? What is the most shared common cultural value amonsgst all sectors of society?

It's the good old British pub isn't it.

Surely the way to ensure Muslims integrate with the rest of society is to get them to change their religious thinking on alchol is forbidden, to something more like: alchol should be discouraged or drank proportionately.

In doing this we could all go down the pub together and have a quiet enjoyable pint and all this Muslim / Christian / Jewish cultural divide would be removed. We can all get drunk and say, hey this is much more enjoyable then getting on my soap box and shouting about racial inequality, racism in society, death tIo Israeal blah blah blah.

I've been to Muslim countrys and they are so the same as Western societys deep down. They all have little drinking holes hidden away somewhere and they have brothels too. Its just they are less advertised and harder to find.

A beer could solve it all.

We left our 2 yr. old hamster in someones care while we were away for a wk. We had a heat wave that week, and when we got home she was lethargic and cold to the touch, and had lost weight. This morning her EYE HAD POPPED OUT! I've been making her pasta and eggs since she wasn't eating well. And feeding her water from an eyedropper. Could this all be from dehydration? She was not in a/c for a week while we were gone. Please tell me if anyone has seen this. The last time we took one of our hamsters to the vet it ended up costing us almost $300 and we still ended up putting her to sleep. Can't afford that again! Thanks for any help.
