We don't know what exactly we are looking for, maybe a place where there is a lake/beach of some sort, but doesn't have to be. However, it will only be a 4 or 5 day trip including drive time (long weekend trip) so it can't be too terribly far from STL.

When I say my friend likes a guy, I REALLY DO mean my friend, and not myself. Anyway, she likes a person in my school, and she wants to know if she should change her looks, her attitude, her style, and her body features to get this guy. My Best Friend and I are taking a road trip to Alabama. We were going to go to Gulf Shores but want to try and visit a quaint little coastal town. We still want activities but not a place that is overrun with tourists. Does anyone have any suggestions? Our only requirements is that it is on the ocean and has some nice places to stay. Thanks

We are trying to leave Miami. I would like to move to an area that has mild weather year round, humidity does not bother me, as I grew up in Miami. But I would like to live somewhere diverse, near the ocean with great thunderstorms ( I love the lightning shows), and had a low cost of living. As for near the ocean I don't mind an hour os so's drive.

Where should we consider moving to and why?

I am leaving in June from Florida, driving to LA and then moving north up to San Francisco- I love nature and breath-taking views, and want some fantastic pictures. Where should I go to see the sunset? Rocky beaches, cliffs, wildlife? Im not looking to go to the zoo (too sad) I am not much of a nightlife person unless there is a REALLY interesting and unique bar I should see (Im a bartender by night and sick of it) I want info mostly on Los Angeles and up- maybe Monterey, Santa Maria?? We might bring our lab with us- so if you can think of cool places for a dog- that would be great too. Where can I get a really good pic of the Golden Gate bridge? Help me out!!! Thank you!

My wife and I are in our early 30s, no kids, white collar jobs. We are looking to move someplace with more opportunities for outdoor recreation (hiking, mountain biking, fishing, skiing, etc.) than the DFW area, someplace smaller than the DFW metroplex, a place with a high quality of life and someplace with a milder climate than Texas. Nightlife and culture are also important, but we're realistic about the fact that our two "targets" (Spokane and Burlington) are not NYC or San Francisco. We've spent time in both Washington and Vermont (loved both states), but not specifically in Spokane or Burlington. Have some flexibility in that we don't need to find jobs immediately upon arrival at our destination, but would need to be employed within about 6 months after arrival. Please tell me the pros and cons of each place and which place you would choose based on the above considerations. Thanks.

UNLESS I CAN AFFORD TO LIVE IN A MORE AFFLUENT NEIGHBORHOOD LIKE RIVER OAKS, MEMORIAL, TANGLEWOOD, SUGARLAND, ETC. (which I can't) MY ONLY SOLUTION IS TO Save up some dough & MOVE OUT OF TEXAS ALTOGTHER B/C IT TOTALLY SUCKS. MY FIRST CHOICE IS COLORADO B/C OF THE WEATHER, SCENERY, & LENIENT POT LAWS LOL. I ALSO LIKE A CITY THAT HAS FOR NOT 2 SEASONS. I HAVE ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT CHECKING OUT MAINE IF I DON'T LIKE COLORADO. I'M GOING TO DENVER & BOULDER THIS UMMER TO CHECK IT OUT. IF ANY1 HAS ANY TIPS ON EITHER STATE LET ME KNOW!

What state are you from? How do you like it there? What are the pros and cons?
Is fresh produce and meat available? My husband and I are trying to figure out where to move after his enlistment. We've been to Georgia, SC, and Missouri. We had a hard time finding pork that wasn't Hormel superchemically injected - actually we only found Hormel! How expensive would you say food is in comparison? Homes? Land? Food was also more expensive in Missouri than in CT where we're from even though wages are lower in Missouri. Any help is well accepted, thanks!


How much variety is there where you live? Can you find different kinds of meat and cuts of meat? How good (or bad) is the education system? Crime? Oh, and if anyone knows of a website where I can find statistics on some of this info then that would be just as helpful!

OK, we're taking a family vacation to Key West Florida again, and the first time we went we did some things, had our own house, and I shopped like crazy running up my parents money LOL, so What is there to do in Key West for me and My Brother and my best friend Emily, ( she's like a part of our family) so any sugesstions we first went to the ripley's believe it or nont but that place scared me with all there weird things?? Is there anything to do?? hmmm we leave a month from today, and my best friend keeps asking me what else should we do? Yes, we have our own pool to swim in, but we need to get out there!
