I think it used to be a good place to live, but now, it is a big ghetto and just getting worse.

Poverty is up. Crime is up. Unemployment is up. And it's a direct result of the crooked, elected city officials.

Great fun city and place with a beautiful skyline I'll always call home yes. But this city has a corrupt liberal government that will not stop raising taxes and continue to let our bus system go down hill along with all the jobs being lost. The crime is on the rise very fast, the pot holes in the road are just getting bigger I mean I'm just completely disgusted with this city right now I gotta get out of here it's making me depressed I can't even find a decent High School or job. Also we can now thank our Governor Special Ed for making Pittsburgh the new Detroit thanks to the new casino industry coming to "better our city and 'commonwealth' ".

I think Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. I will admit, before I went. I had already decided it was going to be a dirty, ugly city, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love all the rivers and the big buildings. It's a nice place!

Seems that Pittsburgh is actually much better now than in the 70s and 80s. Not sure how old you are or what your frame of reference is, but it is definitely better than what it was then. Maybe not what is was in the 50s, but that is like forever ago.
