I have lived in MD for the last 10 years and i hate it! My daughter is approaching school age and I would like to leave my past behind me and move. However, with everything so expensive where is there a good place to move. Currently, I reside in Owings Mills, MD, I have no family and not many friends so there is not much to leave behind but I really would like to move some where on the east coast, low crime, great work environment and lots of fun and activities for my daughter, please e-mail if you would like to expand on suggestions.

Here is the criteria:

- I would like somewhere warm, but my husband likes the snow. Need somewhere thats a compromise.
- Low cost of living is important. Houses should be affordable.
- Jobs, jobs, jobs! Need to be able to find work. I am going to school for Gerontology (study of aging) and Health & Human Services. My husband would like to work in the computer field.

What is the best state (and city if you want to narrow it down) and why? Thanks for your help!

2) Little crime/no gangs

4) Not too high for cost-of-living

Anyone have suggestions?

We are looking for a place to go for a family vacation, consisting of 4 families, ages 2 thru 60. I would like to go someplace where we can be in the middle of town, where we can walk out the door and find something to do. We are not that interested in beaches or mountains, and we all live in the South. Is Tallahassee a good choice? If not, what is?

My hubby and I are celebrating our 5 yr anniversary. We dont have a ton of money to spend but would love to getaway for 4 days alone- no kids. Chicago, NYC or Pittsburgh? We would wanna see sights and do touristy stuff. NYC is our first choice (never been!) but its the only one that would require airfare. (More $$$) We could drive to the other two.

My Husband and I are going to Myrtle Beach for the weekend Next weekend and I am looking for things that we can enjoy with out breaking the bank. We will be staying at The Reef Resort Hotel and would like to do things that are either a short drive or walking distance away. We already plan to go and do all three “Ripley's believe it or not!” locations. However we have nothing planned for Friday evening or Saturday evening. Is there anyone who lives in the area or visits it frequently that could give us some pointers? We would also be interested in some nice but inexpensive restaurants.
