My family want's my help planning a vacation this summer. Also I'd like you to leave out Chicago. We have family there so naturally we've seen Chicago a million times. Anywhere else is okay though

Thanks Joie. but you can't drive anywhere in the U.S. (within) in our car. The darn piece o' junk nearly broke down and stranded us in the Badlands of South Dakota last year.

You could go to the UP (Michigan), check out Isle Royale and the Porcupine Mtns. Also, nearby in Wisconsin are the Apostle Islands.
You can drive to anywhere in the continental US in less than 4 days... Not sure how long a vacation this is... Possibly go west to the Rocky Mountains??? Or south/east to the ocean?

relying on what that's advisable to do, i'd recommend Helen or Savannah GA. Savannah is tremendous for walking round with each of the cool historic places. Helen is a Bavarian form city up in the north GA mountains. Its a vacationer position with relatives activities, yet i'm particular alot of that's seasonal (closed in iciness).

Branson Missouri is a real fun place to go.
Google Branson missouri and check out all the neat web sites. It is about a12 or 13 hour drive from you.
