I am going to NYC for the weekend at the end of September. Does anyone have some good ideas of interesting/authentic things to do? I have seen all of the major tourist attractions.

My friend and I would like to see landmarks, historical places, and nat'l parks. We are going on the trip in late October, starting in North Carolina and ending in California. We want a route that won't be a problem with the weather and won't be dull either. This is probably the only chance I'll have to take a trip like this so I want to make it memorable.

Are there any U.S. Cities that are built on both sides of a river that have the same name, the same city and are in the same state. St. Louis doesn't count.

My boyfriend and I are relocating to DC.
We'll be working in Arlington and Park View, DC. Looking to rent in a relatively safe, upper-middle class, urban neighborhood, good for couples in late 20s, access to metro. Would really appreciate suggestions!

I am trying to choose between Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. We are looking for a beautiful vacation home, on or near the coast, near golf, shopping, anything interesting and different and a fun nightlife. Which is the best??

I used to live on Shaker Square in Cleveland and I'm moving pretty soon with my job to the City of Angels. Because of the suddenness of the move, I don't have alot of time to do too much apartment hunting in such a big city. I am hoping someone familiar with both areas may be able to point me in the right direction.

I want to take my gf to Napa Valley for our anniversary. I am a college student so I'm on a low budget and my gf doesn't like me spending too much money on stuff like dinner and watever. She gets uncomforatble when I do. So, I need romantic cheap things to do. I was thinking of good affordable wine tasting (wine budget < $15), good affordable lunch or dinner that isn't too fancy but still 'Napa' kind of food(i mean like not something I can find at every other town) (food budget < $50). Please give specific names of the places, preferably close to each other, and typical prices if u know it. Any other ideas are appreciated.

What place(s) in San Diego would make for a nice romantic unforgettable spot to tell someone that you Love them. This is huge because I already know that she is the one I want to marry so this has to be perfect.

I heard of 2 observatories in the Los Angeles area. The one in Griffith Park and another one at Mount Wilson. I basically would want to find out which one is better. What do they both have to offer? The one at Mount Wilson seems to be located in a really nice area. But I don't really know what there is to do there. Also, does any of these obervatories also have really cool shows or something at night time? I would really appreciate any helpful detailed information.
thanks

I was told by someone recently that it is a really cool lake in the local mountains. Does anybody know anything about that lake? And how does it compare to other local lakes. Or are there even nicer ones you can go to. I just wanted to go to a cool place in nature that is very local and has a nice lake where you can go swimming at. Would that be a good choice?

I'm talking about some places that might have some history to them, where movies may have been filmed, great viewpoints or potentially even lakes.
