It varies a little from year to year but it usually starts around mid September, like right now. I heard on TV yesterday that the aspens are starting to turn at the Maroon Bells near Aspen and I'm actually going over there in a few days to see it. I'm giving you a link to the forest service website which gives updates about the fall colors and although they don't currently have any updates for Colorado, they should have something there soon. I've been watching it like a hawk!
