I was told by someone recently that it is a really cool lake in the local mountains. Does anybody know anything about that lake? And how does it compare to other local lakes. Or are there even nicer ones you can go to. I just wanted to go to a cool place in nature that is very local and has a nice lake where you can go swimming at. Would that be a good choice?

if it's private, is there another cool lake in that area or anything cool to do there?

Southern CA is not exactly the place to be for lake swimming!!! However, your best bets are Big Bear Lake or Lake Arrowhead... They have swimming beaches and boat rentals, etc., although the water level is a bit low right now.

Oh sure I go ther all the time. a friend of mine use to live there even. This is not a lake to go swimming in . It is a private lake. I walked around the area and have been out on it with a small sail boat.To get here go to the 101 Freeway, get off at Kanan road go toward the ocean to Cornell road follow it past Mulholland HWy and there is the lake to the left hand side aboaut a half a mile or so from Mulholland.

Malibou Lake is private, so unless you can afford a club membership I'd look for something else.
