I am trying to choose between Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. We are looking for a beautiful vacation home, on or near the coast, near golf, shopping, anything interesting and different and a fun nightlife. Which is the best??

I think you would really like the area around Savannah. First of all Savannah is just a romantic city. There is so much for couples to do. Also you have places like Hilton Head, Tybee Island ect.. that you can stay at near by Savannah. They have some beautiful beach homes/cottages and condos for rent there. There are a ton of golf courses in this area, and well the shopping in Savannah cannot be beat! There are also romantic river boat cruises, some great clubs for music and don’t for get about romantic walks around the squares. If you all are looking for something a little different you might also want to try out one of their famous ghost or voodoo tours. Those are always a fun way to end the night! If you all love nature there are several eco-tours you can take, they also have some wonderful parks for hiking. You can also rent canoes, and kayaks from different places. I always recommend doing a dolphin tour in this area. Great place to see them!
As for restaurants Savannah has some of the best around! Go see Paula Dean’s place. Just wonderful! There are tons of little romantic places her, with some cutting edge stuff in food. Many great chefs from all over the world have cooked in Savannah at one point in their career. You don’t always have to go to a fancy place for a good meal and that is true in Savannah you will find wonderful small BBQ places and tons of good old Southern cooking.

You didn't mention time of year.
late-May thru early-September you are probably fine in Maryland and Virginia. Ocean City, MD might be good.
I might avoid Georgia, N and S Carolina in the middle of summer - - July/August - - it might be really humid.
Hilton Head, Savannah, and islands off the coasts are probably great.
Check the weather forecasts for time of year you plan to be honeymooning.

Go to Savannah Ga.
its a beautiful place, full of history (and ghost)
allot of people celebrate their honeymoon there.

i would go to south carolina its not to hot but it is nice its even better in th winter

Have you ever been to Arizona, if not go see the grand canyon, sedona, flagstaff, go to vegas, or laughlin! Thats where me and my new bride went on our honey moon, she loved it ALL!!
