Is it safe to take a newborn to Las Vegas as far as the smoke in the casinos, not that she will be in them but in general. Do people take there infants to Las Vegas

The casinos are well ventilated for the most part. I hate smoke, but generally do not have a problem.
You can take the baby through the casinos. But you have to keep moving. I learned from experience that no minors (even babies - held or in strollers) are allowed to stand in one place while in the gambling area.
I am there about 6 times a year, and often see people with kids and babies in strollers.
Have fun.

If you have to come to Las Vegas and bring your baby with you, there would be no problem. As a couple of people have stated previously, there are many people that live here and they do give birth! Our family has lived here for over 10 years, I have seen many people bring their babies / children here to Las Vegas. There are a few hotels here in Las Vegas that are non-smoking, I would check into staying there. I guess it depends on what it is your coming into Las Vegas for. When my son was a infant and we would to out to eat ( in the casinos ) he wasn't a cranky baby due to the noise, he enjoyed the lights and the sound. It actually kept him entertained. If you feel that you could leave you baby with a family member for whatever time it is you have to be here in Las Vegas, then you would have more freedom to see the sights, but by all means bringing a baby here is not all that unusual. But this is only my opinion. Hope this helps.

Las Vegas is totally infant friendly... Guess what people... Real people live in Las Vegas all the time and they are quiet normal. Las Vegas is pretty much a smoke free environment... You can only really smoke on casino floors all restaurants are smoke free. There are several hotels that have entrances straight into the hotel and you do not have to go through the casino at all.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND? I can understand you having to go to Las Vegas on a business trip or something, but why in the world would you NEED to take the newborn into a casino?

The major hotels are perfectly fine. I see small children often and new borns from time to time. Do you think people in Las Vegas don't have kids and then don't work in casinos? Of course they do. Where I don't see new borns is in the older smokey casinos.

You should be fine.

One tip though... don't bet the baby. In Vegas, you might lose or worse.. you might win big. What would you do with a million babies if you win?

Much of Las Vegas is surprisingly child-friendly, but the casinos are not, not, not. Try Circus-Circus or call the hotel first, as some are non-smoking.

People do take infants. Why, I do not know. Aside from the smoke factor, the noise and the commotion would make for one CRANKY kid. Not to mention - would you want to risk having someone who's had a little too much to drink bumping into you?

IMO: reconsider taking the baby. Yeah, I KNOW there's people who live there who have kids - but if you live there, you generally stay away from that stuff - unless you work in it (who brings their kid to work?) or you have out of town guests.

Depends what you plan on doing there. it can be a family place too. There is smoke in the casinos but there is no smoking where you can eat.
