they're coming in from Canada and it will be their first trip to Los Angeles. What are some things I can plan for them to do to have a fun trip. My uncle is in his 60's and his wife is in her 50's. They've been married since the 70's (not certain which year) so i'm not sure which anniversary it is exactly... any suggestions... they'll be here this Saturday and staying through next Friday the 5th. Cheers

I was reading this article on USAToday.com and from the KGO website about how the SF Film Commission denied the Marines permission to film in the city for NO good reason at all and would not explain to reporters the reasons for their decision. In the KGO article it also mentions how the city blocked the USS Iowa from docking here, banned the junior ROTC from high schools, and trys to to ban the yearly Blue Angels air show.

Do you think it was wrong of the film commission to deny the Marines permission to film? Also do you think leaders in the city of SF don't like the military for some reason. Do you think the film commission and other leaders have gone to far in other instances in trying to block the military from doing things in the city? I just wanted to get people's opinions from the Bay Area b/c SF gets a lot of negative media attention for it's liberalism and stuff like this is why, even though I know it's not as bad as people not from the area think it is.

Hi, i posted another question on this site and it was answered but i forget to mention this. I would like to bring some digital equipment, a ARM 32-bit Development Board, a Macbook Pro and a DSLR Camera. I should be ok to bring these pieces of equipment to the USA? I would need these tools for educational purposes.

Hello, I live in the Monterey Peninsula and will have some friends visit in from out of town who would like to see San Francisco. I was hoping to save some money on gas and parking, however the BART website has not been very helpful. Where is the nearest BART station (to me) where I can park my car all day and where would we exit the BART in Union Square? I already know we will have to most likely pay close to $10 to ride wherever we want to go all day. I just need a starting point and I am most familliar to Union Square. Thanks!

It's for Wyndham Resorts, two nights + airfare to Vegas for two people paid. No obligation buy. Sit through a 90 minute speech and get the free prize. Seems too good to be true, is it?

How long does it take to get into Manhattan? We are staying just one night in New York, and I am wondering if it is going to be a waste of our time staying over in Newark. I waited until the last minute to book a hotel and everything in the city is full and/or unbelievably expensive. Advice?

Hubby and I were planning a Vegas trip in October but because of work issues, it's been postponned. The only option we have is to go Dec. 26-31. What's Vegas like during that time? I'm sure things will be more expensive, but we're prepared for that.

I am flying into Baltimore (BWI) on a Saturday next month. I will be staying the night, until I travel on the next morning. Any suggestions for something to do that night before I fly home the next morning. Further details: I'll be arriving to BWI around 5pm. I am traveling alone, and female, so I want something safe. I really don't feel like taking a cab to my hotel and staying holed up in the hotel all night, so any suggestions would be helpfu. I will not have a rental car, so I will be at the mercy of cabs, public transportation. My hotel is near the BWI airport. Thought about the Aquarium, but don't know.

I flew to Boston this weekend to check out the area. Some guy kept feeling up my leg on the train. Anyway, I noticed a few odd things about the people there. First, there are no Mormon people, but a ton of Jewish people. Also, there are no Mexicans but many Dominicans, Cubans etc. There are not many blondes; most people are brunettes, and people are generally meaner. They're always in a hurry, even if it's just to grab a donut. Some people don't own cars, they just use public transportation. It also seems that fashion is more about covering up and less about having a hot body. What else should I look out for? I don't own any coats.
