Ok I am going to ask again since I honestly got some stupid responses that did not help. My boyfriend & I plan to move to NY. We both are merchandisers & our jobs are transferrable. I plan to get my bachelor's in graphic design(already have my AA in both graphic design & fashion merchandising).I have noticed there are more opportunities for me out there in my field. We were looking to move to the Bronx(we have been looking at Craigslist). We both are young, no kids & know we will enjoy NY very much since there is ALOT to do obviously. We know we can make it out there because we will both no longer have to pay for our cars, insurance & gas. I want opinions if this will be a good move for us & will it be worth it? Opinions I would like to hear but please no dumb ones. Will the Bronx be cool for us? What do you all think?

How is the racism against whites in Atlanta, GA? I am considering moving there to become a police officer, but I do not want to be constantly "hated" because of being white, since the majority of Atlanta is African-American. I just hear rumours and would like some confirmation, before I decide on going there.

I am a foreigner, who haven't visited Orlando before .I plan to attend the conference at Disney Yatch club next September, but I could not afford this hotel. It would be nice if I could find the hotel or lodging nearby where I can walk to the site of this conference. Thank you.

Would going on a workday (Monday - Thursday) effect the amount of time you need to wait to get on a coaster? Would there be as many people as there would be on a weekend?Would it be as packed?

Starting at New Orleans and going across to Las Angeles (dropping in at Vegas and the Grand Canyon also) and then going to San Francisco to see Alcatraz.
Does anyone have any must- see's along the way? We'd also go through Amarillo and Dallas...

I am traveling to DC at the end of July with my husband. We are both in our early 30's. We wish to see the typical tourist attractions of DC during the day, but also desire to have something fun to do at night besides sit in the hotel (bars, restaurants, etc., not night clubs). I am wondering the best area of DC to stay to fulfill these requests? I do not mind taking cheap transportation during the day (metro?) but would prefer to be close by things to do at night so we can safely walk to and from these activities. Downtown? Capital area? Georgetown/Foggy Bottom? Dupont Circle? Please advise-I can find deals in all these areas but don't know which one to choose. Thanks!

I was wondering b/c I was reading about Burbank and they were saying that its basically where everyting has gone to like Universal,NBC,Disney,ABC studios to do movies..and Hollywood is not what is used to be in a since...so if a actor lives there would they have a better chance getting roles like open calls, or agencys, or even talent searchers, maybe extra work???

We live in southern California and are planning a short vacation farther north to both Hearst Castle and the town of Solvang. Anyone know the surrounding towns and closest or best place to stay near the castle? Any other great travel ideas in that general area would be greatly appreciated!
