SF: In the afternoon, go to Haight Ashbury for cool clothes and vintage boutiques, stop by the Grateful Dead house, check out Amoeba Records, and have brunch at Magnolia or Squat and Gobble. At night, go to North Beach for great italian food, and packed bars with loud music. Or, for a more sophisticated crowd, go to Harry Denton's Starlight Room in Union Square, have some Martinis and enjoy live jazz and a great view of the City.

depends on what you like, you can do anything in the BA, TRUST ME, I'm here in SA, TX after growing up in the Bay... and it sucks... I MISS CALI so much, appriciate it, trust me when comparing it to anywhere else your options are limitless.
It really depends on what you are into, if you like outdoors and wanna impress a chick friend take her across the bay to marin by ferry, or to the palace of fine arts... if you like to party or go to games go downtown SF, many of clubs down there plus u have have ATT park (i assume since att bought pac bell right???) damm i haven't been home in a while.

You know.. that sort of depends on exactly WHAT you like to do. California has so many options within an hour of SF that it is impossible to really tell you. What do you want to do? Tourist, active sports, sight see, ... pick something and we can expand on what and where....

dunno bout san fransisco but in LA you go clubbing,shopping,and etc...i live near LA...live in coto de caza...
