Funny as Heck- I am looking out my window right now at the hill the sail planes and gliders go off of. - I swear
Bobby Jim is right - It is in fact in Big Flats which is outside of Elmira. Take Route 17 (now called 86) to the Arnot mall. Jump on Country route 64 and just follow the signs up the hill. It is about a 10 minute drive from the mall.
The other landmarks you can look for is the national war plane museum or the Elmira Corning regional airport.
