My company is considering opening a small office there and I have entertain the thought of moving my family from Austin Tx, to San Diego. I would like to know from people that actually reside in the area to give me a little info on the neighborhoods(high crime/low crime) and the school system. I know that I can get this info from a realtor if we decided to move, but I do know their main goal is to sell a house, so I dont feel as if I would get an honest opinion like I would from you guys. Any help would really be appreciated.

of people on their way down to the WTC site.
I sat there getting angry because I went thru it & I felt like people were coming to make it a side show. To gawk, and stare.

Hello everyone. I am moving to Cuyahoga falls, Ohio. This is a bit north of Akron and about 20min or so south of Cleveland. It is situated very much "next to" Lake Erie.

I am moving in 3wks with my girl. Now, I know what weather is like here in Cincy. I am however not familiar with the weather like in Akron area. Are the winters pretty bad? Do they last longer / start sooner? Is it stormy and wet during Spring / Summer? That kinda stuff.

Right now I drive a lowered FWD car and am thinking of going up to a AWD due to a combination of road conditions and if needed for the winters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Cedar Point amusement park. I'm from NYC and don't drive, he's from Scotland and doesn't want to drive on the right (wrong) side of the road. Airfares from Boston to Cleveland seem excessive, and I can't figure out how to get from the airport to the amusement park. Are there busses? Would a cab be prohibitively expensive? Are there regional airlines that fly between these two regions? Anyone who has knowledge to impart, I'd really apreciate it. Thanks!

What is the year round temperature in San Diego? Which area has alot of new developments in terms of homes in downtown area? If you lived in San Diego and San Francisco, which do you like better and why?
Thanks guys for the help! I'm trying to move to a warmer state since I'm coming from a windy snowy state.

I'm jumping at the first chance to leave freakin' Kentucky and come to a great state, Texas! (Excuse me, a great Republic!) I know some of you might call me a "yankee," but I'm willing to put up with that.

I've only been to Texas once. I fell SO in love with your state and its geographic diversity, warm people, beautiful parks, and thriving cities that I said, "I could live here." I even have a "Misplaced Texan" bumper sticker on my car; now some of you think I'm crazy, don't you?

What steps do I need to take to properly become a "naturalized" Texan? Thanks!

My husband and I live in a small town in Ohio and there are absolutely no jobs. We're thinking about moving possibly to Cleveland. We were previously looking in Columbus for apartments but it's too expensive for us to live there at the moment. There are jobs my husband is qualified for in this Cleveland newspaper we picked up.

For those who live or have lived in Cleveland, how are the jobs and what is the average pay? How about the safety of this city? Personally, I've never been.

Where would you recommend? We are looking for somewhere on the Florida panhandle or in the Gulf Shore, AL area. We are planning to spend 4 or 5 nights and would like to find a condo to rent on the beach. Any recommendations of a rental company to use would also be appreciated.

Detroit: 139 Sq miles. 850,000 People in the year 2007.... Year 1950: Over 2 million people. Why have over a million people left the city? Detroit has no Super Markets (Big Chains) No movie houses. No Amusments Parks, No city parks with equpiment to play/work with. Schools are run down. No tax base. ( Well, Very little Tax base) So why is Detroit like that in this United states?
