Is it $1.25 to ride each colored line or just $1.25 for the Orange line and $1.25 to get on and off for one stop anywhere on the Red, Purple, Gold, Green and Blue lines?

its $1.25 for any local bus or rail line so you have wanted
to from Pasadena to Long beach (for example)
you would (if yiou dont want to get a day pass)
you would first pay $1.25 for the Ride on the Gold line
to Union station, the walk over and then buy another ticket
for the Red Line to 7th and Metro, then another ticket for
the Blue line to Long beach
(same thing if you need to take 2 buses (you have to
pay $1.25 each per bus ride
or you can get a day pass for$5.00
(sometimes it might not save you any money
but it sure beats the hassle of paying on each bus

Yes, but that is the reason the MTA offers an all day pass for $5.00 which allows for unlimited boarding on any basic MTA bus and subway line. If your trip is limited to only downtown LA destinations another option would be to stick to the DASH shuttel system which is only .25 each boarding but has only limited routes. Good Luck!
