The first answer is very good, add to it a visit to Fremont st. and watch the light show, you can spend an entire evening there ( down town ) Also buy an ice cream cone, hold your husband's hand and walk up and down the strip ( do that at night it is too hot during the day ) visit as many casinos as your time permits, I did all of these things when I went with my wife.
Have a good time !
Oh! one more thing, if his into cars there is a nice car show at Imperial Palace

I like UK-2_USA's answer. (Definitely see the fountains a Bellagio)
A few other things.
Visit the M and M store near the MGM Grand. A lot of fun if you like M and M stuff. Don't bring any money though because you will buy something if you do.
Walk the strip and watch the people.
Ride the Deuce (a very inexpensive bus that goes up and down the strip) and get on and off whenever you see something of interest.
Check out the Vegas.com llink below for other ideas. (click on the various tabs and links - lots of info here) and the other link for food bargains. Look around on the web, there a lot of info on Vegas.
Have a good time. Hope you win something.

Show in the Sky at Rio, free show as well. Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is relatively inexpensive at about $15 a head, Imperial Palace and Harrah's both have GREAT piano bars, live karaoke and the one at Harrah's has this cheesy Elvis impersonator. Just don't stand too close to him, he grabbed my butt once. Lots of cool stuff to see at Forum Shops at Ceasar's and Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood if you like to window shop. Margaritaville between Imperial and Harrah's get's pretty fun at night and no cover, drinks are pricey though. Carnival bar right next to there is lots of fun and the World's Largest Gift Shop across from the Sahara is fun too. Cheaper drinks and gambling will be downtown on Fremont, inside Neonopolis is a dance club/bowling alley/cue club. Sounds lame, I know, but it's a lot of fun. Buy a few drinks and watch people play pool, it's gets really interesting on weekends.
Hope this helps!

First answer is pretty good. The pirate show is pretty good and the fountains at the Bellagio are just beautiful - the fountains are literally dancing to music.
Definitely go to Fremont Street. If you want to gamble, the tables are cheaper there and there is a light show that goes on like very 30 minutes or something at night.

Go inside the Luxor and marvel how they built it.
Watch the fountains outside the Bellagio at night.
Walk through the forum shops at Ceasars.
Watch the volcano at night outside the Mirage.
Watch the pirate fight outside Treasure Island.
Walk alongside the grand canal in Venice.
See the circus entertainment in the big top at Circus Circus.
All these are free !
