What that person just said! Chicago is GREAT! I just came from there a month ago, we spent 4 days there and that still wasnt enough time to do all that we wanted. We went to the Aquarium, Navy Pier, Magnificent MIle(our hotel was right on it so that was great), and I vistited a few colleges...we also took a Chicago Tour...you can get a tour pass and have it drop you off in different sections (china town, little italy, etc...) and come back when your done touring those areas. We didn't have time to get off and look around. Also...there are plays, more museums, and stuff going on in their parks. Not to mention I'm sure there's a nightlife that we were too tired to engaged in because our day was full of other things to do.

Lots of things for a couple to do.
Head to Grant Park by the lake, it has Buckingham Fountain which is lit up on summer nights..and/or Millennium Park, have a picnic and then walk around.
What about a lunch cruise on one of the boats at Navy Pier.
Both of you can walk North Michigan Avenue for the shops..and then in the evening head to a theatre for a show.
Spend an afternoon at Lincoln Park Zoo.
Cant forget the skyline..if youre going to have a car, take a drive up and down Lake Shore Drive at night, after 7 so you wont hit traffic.
Get on choosechicago.com for info and see if there are packages ..

Everyone should always go to the Taste, which is actually going on right now. Michigan is good for high-class shopping. State Street is more my speed. The museums are good: the Art Institute is free on Tuesdays, Science and Industry always has some exhibit, and Navy Pier has a theatre, some circus bending people, and cute little carts with jewelry and bags. Also, if u have time, definitely ride the free trolley around downtown. the guides are hilarious and they point out cool landmarks. they pick u up and drop u off at certain locations, but they are found basically all over the loop. Enjoy!

Chicago is a world class city!! Please come and drop a visit to my wonderful town :] If you come now you can still catch the Taste of Chicago, full of fun things to see and do (and eat). Also come to Navy Pier, rent some bikes, and ride along the lakefront. Or buy some tickets and take a ride on a boat! Come visit our downtown area, take a ride on the Sears tower. Or if you want, also come to check out the Lincoln Park Zoo (one of the last free zoos in the country) or the Brookfield Zoo.
Don't forget to visit the musuem campus and check out the Shedd Aquarium or the Field Museum, and don't miss the Chicago Air and Water Show!
n Brief: The Chicago Air & Water Show happens each summer for one weekend in August, and over 2 million people flock to the shores of Lake Michigan for the event. It is the oldest and largest free show of its kind in the United States.
Where: Along the Lake Michigan lakefront, from Fullerton Avenue to Oak Street Beach. North Avenue Beach is the main focal point.
When: Saturday, August 18 & Sunday, August 19, 2007
Oooh my God there's so much...oh! Also come check out the Chicago Chinatown Summer Fair! July 15th.

Lots of packages, although surprisingly some of the best packages are in winter (it's cheaper). The tourist line is 1-800-CHICAGO. It's a terrific city to visit - great shopping, great theater, great music, great art. Lots of fun.

Depends on what you're into. Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) for shopping, Sears Tower, Hancock Building, Lakeshore Drive running alongside Lake Michigan, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, tons of nightclubs, restaurants, bars, Wrigley, US Cellular, and Soldier Fields for sports, etc.

You can try to get tickets to see a taping of Jerry Springer or Oprah while you're there. Be sure to get some Chicago style pizza while you're there too. Outside of that, the answerer above me hit most of the good stuff. Catch a Cubs game too!
